The reception for the AIAIAI / Matthew Dear video has been really great, people seem to be enjoying the short film a lot. Here’s a handful of spottings from all corners of the internet.
Great interview with store director Brian Fichtner, about how he selects and what he’s trying to do with Ghostly International’s retail operations.
Such an awesome guy to work with, and what he’s done in the short time he’s been on board is really inspiring.
Think of it this way: if the MOMA or LACMA were to start a record label, then decide to branch out into merchandising, the result would look, feel and quack a lot like The Ghostly Store. Conversely, it could be said that The Ghostly Store is lobby giftshop at the audiovisual museum that is Ghostly International. Regardless, we’ve been in love with a lot of products to be featured in the store, and had the opportunity to sit down with Brian Fichtner, who runs the store and retail strategy for Ghostly.
